Hi! I'm studying anthropology since the last year, this generation is studying with a new  ''curriculum'' this means that every subject that we have is a new one, so it's sad but we are ''experiment subjects''. They are testing the development of this subjects on us.  I think than this is the first thing that that I would change in the study programme, because it's very frustrating to see how some subjects doesn't make any sense, the contents sometimes are incomplete, etc.  So I know that for our generation there is nothing to do, but the most of us are paying to recive a good education, so I hope this change someday. About the workload I think that sometimes we really don't have time to anything about from studying, we have to read very much to some subjects, and apart from that we have to do other stuffs besides studying, so many classmates are stressed.  I think that the lenght of our career is ''kind of good'', ...

Hi everyone today I'm going to talk about some topics and I will give a very short opinion about them... What is your opinion about the Chilean tradition called ‘mechoneo’? This tradition called 'mechoneo' is about a kind of ritual where everyone at university gives the 'welcome' to the new students, but I think that this tradition it's very wrong, because it gives the power to the old students to do what they want to the new students, like to throw them eggs, paint their clothes and even to cut their hair and making them do something that they don't want to do. I think that in this tradition we can see what power do to people, the feeling of doing what you want to someone just for fun became very dangerous.  What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases? I think that abortion must be free to every woman who needs to do one, we need to have control over our own bodies, maybe we can think that we have evolved in some areas of our society ...

I really enjoy to watch series and movies, I think that my favorite kind of series are those of mistery or science fiction, that introduce you in a enigma. In that way, I have many favorites series that I would like to mention on this post. The top one I think that it's Game of Thrones, I know that now it's maybe repeated over and over by everyone because of the final season (wich I think it was disappointing) but anyway I think that this serie is the only one that can mix dragons, witches, zombies, kingdoms and prophecies in a kind of medieval world, to show the fight for the throne and make it look real and not ridiculous. Hello! I'm in the second year of anthropology, I'm not really sure yet about what major I'm going to take, if social anthropology or archaeology. But if I continue with social anthropology I would like to study some course about linguistic anthropology, or something like that related to the language that some societies have been using. I would like to continue with these studies because I find very interesting the way that societies express themselves through words, the way in different societies use different words to talk about the same thing.  I also would like to study the colloquial language, even in the same country people from the North use different words than the southern people. I would like to study this first in Chile, to understand first our own reality and maybe after that to travel to other countries to watch their ways to express and to see the contrasts, that in this sense  would it be many. I am not really sure about what I would like to do in the future, I am studying anthropology and I decided to specialize in social anthropology because I would like to learn about other people and to be empathetic with their traditions. I think that my ideal kind of job would it be one where I have to work with other people, I mean doing investigations with different people who works in other areas like sociology, biology, etc. I also would like to work with communities, learning about them, about their reality and maybe to help them when they need it. I think that my ideal job must be outdoors, I wouldn't like to have a desk job, I think that it's necessary to be with the people that are you working with to really understand them, because if we don't understand the culture we are studying we can do a negative judgment on them. Hi everyone! I don't really have a ''Bucket List'' I'm a very anxious person so when i want to do something i can't wait to do it. But there are some thing that i would like to do in the future that can be considered as my bucket list. First of all, i would like to travel outside Chile, I've never been out of the country. I would like to visit Peru, Mexico, Colombia and some places in Europe, i think those are the countries i would like to visit in some moment of my life. When i was a child i wanted to lear chinese, and i went to a class but it didn't go well, i would like to lear that language now. I think that is something difficult to achieve because it's a very difficult language and it requires a lot of dedication and study.
